Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series 08

Watch the old west come alive! The Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series features the best cowboys in Colorado and Wyoming on the baddest bulls and horses. Kids events too.
 
The rodeo series starts on Friday, June 13th and is every Friday and Saturday night until Saturday, August 16th. All rodeos start at 7:30 p.m. except the 4th of July rodeo which starts at 7:00 p.m.
 
Enjoy a BBQ and entertainment beginning each night at 6pm. All rodeos are at the Romick Arena in downtown Steamboat Springs.
 
Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for children. Kids 6 and under are free. Tickets are available for purchase in advance at the Steamboat Springs Visitor’s Center or at the gate.

105th Cowboys' Roundup Days and Fourth of July Celebration

105th Cowboys' Roundup Days and Fourth of July Celebration

For over 100 years Steamboat has celebrated Independence Day with rodeo. Cowboys Roundup Days celebrates the Western Heritage native to the Yampa Valley with events for the entire family.
 
On Friday July 4th, kick back in boots at several community events including, a community all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, children’s activities, concerts, the annual parade down Lincoln Avenue (10am), block party at the Tread of Pioneers Museum (11am), rodeo (7pm), and fireworks (after the rodeo).
 
The parade begins at 10am and applications for entry will be available in late-May or early-June.
 
Sunday morning begins with a real cattle drive (10am) where local ranchers will drive 100 pair of cattle from their ranch down Lincoln Avenue to Romick Arena. These cattle will then play a part in the Ranch Horse Competition and Ranch Rodeo (4pm) where local ranches will compete against one another.

17th Annual Steamboat Sprint

17th Annual Steamboat Sprint

Join your friends and neighbors in a 400 yard dash down main street. Registration happens in front of Lyon Drug between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The race starts at 9:30 a.m. right before the 4th of July parade. There is a small admission fee at registration. 30th Mountain Madness Half Marathon & 10K

The Mountain Madness Half Marathon and 10K is part of the Steamboat Springs Running Series. Course Description: The ½ marathon and 10k races start at Howelsen Hill Park and heads out River Rd on a rolling hill, paved course. The ½ marathon turns right and goes up a steep hill through Dakota Ridge and circles back to River Rd. The 10k continues on River Rd and is an out and back. The Steamboat Town Challenge is an eight race mountain bike series held every summer. Both hill-climb and cross-country events are included. There are fields for boys and girls, men and women by age and ability level, as well as a men’s and women’s single speed class.
