Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation undertakes several fundraising initiatives for local organizations through special events, ski/ride programs, payroll deductions, cash and in-kind support.

UNITED WAY
Ski Corp. contributes to the Routt County United Way through three primary means: employee deductions, ski medallions and employee volunteerism. Employees have the option to deduct a set amount each week from their paychecks. Secondly, the resort contributes two Silver Medallions annually to the United Way for fundraising efforts. Finally, the resort encourages employees to participate in the annual United Way Day of Caring, donating their time and skills. Through these programs, the company has donated more than $360,000 since 1989.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS WINTER SPORTS CLUB
Each year, Ski Corp. kicks off the winter season with the Scholarship Day fundraiser, which benefits the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. Since the fundraiser’s inception in 1991, Ski Corp. has donated nearly $1 million in proceeds from opening day ticket sales.

YAMPA VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Ski Corp. supports the Yampa Valley Community Foundation by donating 80 season passes and ski medallions annually to the group’s Passport Club. Steamboat has donated nearly $4.5 million to the program since it began in 1998, with $385,000 donated last year alone. The foundation uses these donations to benefit nonprofit organizations in Northwest Colorado.
