Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation is actively engaged in community philanthropy through partnerships with charitable organizations to improve the quality of life throughout the Yampa Valley.

Yampa Valley Community Foundation

A nonprofit organization that promotes local philanthropy and community initiatives as well as supports local nonprofit organizations. The Community Foundation houses more than 130 funds. The Board of Trustees and staff of the Community Foundation continually form partnerships, advocate solutions and allocate resources to set the stage for a better tomorrow for all residents of the Yampa Valley.

Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club

This club has played an integral part in the development of young athletes by providing the support, experience and encouragement they need in order to achieve their Olympic dreams. The Winter Sports Club is one of the oldest and most recognized ski clubs in the United States and was named Club of the Year by the United States Ski & Snowboard Association.

Yampa Valley Sustainability Council

The mission of this council is to provide leadership to advance environmental, economic and social sustainability for current and future generations through education, programs and building collaboration among individuals, organizations, businesses and government.

Routt County United Way

Routt County United Way provides a united effort to anticipate the health and human service needs of our community as well as to raise and allocate financial resources to help meet these needs through member agencies.

Community Agriculture Alliance

A nonprofit community organization serving Routt County and the Yampa Valley. It was established in 1999 to ensure that the agricultural community could adapt to changes in the local and regional economy and still be active and vital in the valley for generations to come.

Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports

This organization provides recreational opportunities for people with disabilities, resulting in empowering and enriching the quality of life for its participants. Founded in 2006, STARS works with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, Sunshine Kids, Kids’ Vacation Center and Horizons Specialized Services. STARS has also partnered with other adaptive organizations to run ski and snowboard camps.

Northwest Colorado Health
Created in 1964 to promote health, prevent disease and provide home health, public health and hospice services to residents of the Yampa Valley. The organization strives to improve the quality of life for all residents of Northwest Colorado, regardless of age or economic circumstance, by providing comprehensive health services. Its focus on community health and aging services — including home care, hospice and assisted living — is a comprehensive approach to health improvement that views health as a state of well-being.

Strings Music Festival

This organization presents innovative programs of distinctive classical and popular contemporary music in an intimate and friendly setting to audiences of all ages, enhancing the cultural, educational and entertainment experiences of the community of Northwest Colorado and its visitors. The nationally recognized music festival presents more than 70 performances of chamber music, jazz, rock, country, bluegrass, world rhythms and many other genres each summer since 1988. Artists include Grammy winners and nominees, major competition winners and principal players from renowned orchestras.
