The Steamboat Ski Resort Employee Housing

The Ponds at Steamboat in Steamboat Springs, Colorado provides fully furnished economy apartments packed with amenities. Located on the Steamboat Springs city bus route, The Ponds property consists of two ponds, extensive lawn areas, a basketball court, and easy access to the Yampa River and the Core Trail. Amenities include full kitchens with dinnerware, cookware, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and dishwasher, and wireless internet.

Deposit and Fees

The deposit for the shared housing two-bedroom units is $500 plus a non-refundable $50 administrative fee. For those tenants with dogs or cats, there is a $50 non-refundable pet fee. Please note, dogs and cats are allowed based on availability of pet friendly apartments. There is a $75 parking fee for Ponds tenants. Parking will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

Please inquire with the housing office for one bedroom shared housing rates and deposit rate. These units have 2 employees per apartment. There is very limited availability of these units.

How To Apply

After your application for employment has been initially approved, reserving a spot in employee housing is simple. You will have the opportunity to apply online and pay your deposit to guarantee yourself a spot. After your deposit and completed application have been accepted you will be notified of your reservation and you can rest easy knowing you will have a place to stay when you arrive in Steamboat Springs.

IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN RESERVING A SPOT IN EMPLOYEE HOUSING YOU MUST:

Be offered a full time position with SSRC.
Email your manager to let them know you are interested in housing. Beds will be allocated by department and your manager will let you know if they are allocating you a bed at The Ponds. If you are allocated a bed, the housing office will send you the link to the housing application.
Complete your application and background check, pay your deposit, and sign your lease online to secure your housing. Please note – if you have an offense on your background check, it does not automatically disqualify you for housing. We will look at each offense on a case by case basis.

2024/25 season rates

October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2025. All utilities and WiFi are included in the monthly rent.

In the months of October-April we only rent to SSRC employees and all housing is shared housing. We do not allow entire room or entire apartment rentals. In the summer months of May-September rental units are available to both SSRC employees and to the general public. We are able to offer shared housing, entire room or entire apartment rentals to SSRC employees and entire apartment rentals to the general public May-September based on availability. We do not offer any shared housing options to the general public.

Two-Bedroom Apartment Shared Housing Options for SSRC Employees Only.

PREMIUM UNITS

SSRC Employee Per Bed Rate: $575 per person.
These apartments will have 4 employees per apartment. We have very limited availability of these units. Pets are allowed in some of these units. These units have two twin beds per bedroom. The deposit for these apartments is $500 plus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.

ECONOMY 5 PERSON UNITS

Employee Per Bed Rate – 3 person bedroom: $410 per person.
Employee Per Bed Rate – 2 person bedroom: $510 per person.
These apartments will have 5 employees per apartment. We will mix genders in the 2 person room upon request, but not in the 3 person room. Pets are allowed in these units. These units have two twin beds in the 2 person room and a twin size bunk bed and a twin bed in the three person room. The deposit for these apartments is $500 plus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.

ECONOMY 6 PERSON UNITS SSRC

Employee Per Bed Rate: $375 per person.
These apartments will have 6 employees per apartment. No dogs or mixed genders are allowed in these apartments. These units have a twin size bunk bed and a twin bed in each bedroom. The deposit for these apartments is $500 plus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.

One-Bedroom Apartment Shared Housing Options for SSRC Employees Only.

Per Bed SSRC Employee Per Bed Rate: $825/month per person
Entire units are only available May-September. We have limited one-bedroom apartments. These apartments will have 2 employees per apartment in the winter season. These units have two twin beds in the bedroom. The deposit for the one bedroom apartment per bed rate is equal to one month’s rent plus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.

The Ponds Parking Fee
For the winter season of December through March, there is a $75 per month parking fee at The Ponds. Parking Permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. When we are out of parking permits no other vehicles will be allowed at The Ponds. Unpermitted vehicles will be ticketed.

Entire units are only available May-September. The two-bedroom apartments will have either two twin beds or a set of bunk beds and a twin bed in each bedroom. The deposit for a two-bedroom apartment is equal to one month’s rent plus a $200 non-refundable administrative fee.

SSRC Employee Summer Rates If Not Working for SSRC In The Summer Season
In the summer season you must work for SSRC in the summer to continue to receive the employee rate. If you left your employment with SSRC in good standing in the winter season but do not work for SSRC in the summer season, you may stay in shared housing but will pay the general public rate.
