We are privileged to live and work in an inclusive and welcoming community nestled among some of the most beautiful landscape in America. As stewards for this place, it is our mission to share it and make it universally accessible to all who wish to experience Steamboat. For those who are differently abled or who need a little extra assistance, we offer free handicap parking, gondola accessibility, gladly welcome ADA certified service animals, and partner with STARS (Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports) to empower and enrich lives through adaptive recreational activities.

parking
Steamboat Square Garage is the closest proximity to the base area with accessible ADA parking, and it is paid parking through the Park Mobile App. The clearance for the Steamboat Square Garage is 7'6", but there is an upper, uncovered level that does not require clearance. From the garage there is an escalator, or an elevator and ramp, to bring you down to the main base area. Another accessible parking garage is the Torian Plum Parking Garage which is an underground parking garage in Torian Plum Plaza. It has a two hour limit and is not available for skier parking.

The Lower Knoll Lot and Upper Knoll Lot are parking lots that are a short walk to the base area (approx. 5 minute walk). The Lower Knoll Lot is a paid parking lot through the Park Mobile App, and the Upper Knoll Lot is free. Once you reach the transit center, there is an escalator or elevator for accessible access to the base area level.

NAVIGATING THE BASE AREA
Steamboat Resort's base area is a multi-level plaza. There is a main escalator from the Transit Center down to the main base area level, or there is also an elevator that will bring you down to the second plaza level (behind Gondola Pub and Grill) where you can then take a short ramp down to the main base area level. For assistance or additional guidance, call 970-871-5444 and one of our mountain Ambassadors would be happy to help show you the way.

Restrooms
There are three ADA restrooms in the Steamboat base area. One is located creekside underneath the Steamboat Stage in Steamboat Square, the second is located behind Gondola Pub and Grill and Giggle Gulch candy shop on the second level on the plaza, and the third restroom is located in Steamboat Sports Sheraton, which is located inside the creekside level of the Sheraton hotel.

Service Animals
A "Service Animal" is defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. Animals that fall under this definition are welcome inside all Steamboat Resort owned facilities. Service animals are welcomed on the Steamboat Gondola, but not on chairlifts.

Chairlift & Gondola Access
Chairlifts: Steamboat Resort chairlifts are equipped to accommodate sit-skis, outriggers and other adaptive ski devices. Guests must be able to safely onboard and offboard the lift independently or with an accompanying support person. Chairlift operators can slow down or stop the chairlift upon request at both the bottom and top of the lift.
Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs are welcome and can easily fit and roll inside the cabins of the Steamboat Gondola. Gondola operators can slow down or stop the Gondola at both the top and bottom upon request.
