Both the Steamboat Resort race department and group sales department are committed to putting on a fun and memorable race event for a range of abilities and ages. No prior racing experience necessary!
Private Group Race Information
The racecourse is located on lower mountain in the Bashor bowl area off Christie Peak Express. This private area can only be accessed by skiing, riding, or guided snowshoe trek. Race format and course layout can be customized to match your group’s specific needs and competition levels. 25-person minimum for private race events. Our racing department will take each racer’s best time compared against the pacesetter’s time and a handicap score to determine medals according to age group. Private races are available on a first-come reservation basis.

Alternative Race Ideas
Work directly with a Group Reservations Representative to customize your own race format. Mountain Trivia Scavenger Hunts are a fun way for a group to learn more about the life and history of Steamboat and of Mt. Werner. Break your group into teams, dispersing each team to different areas around the mountain to collect information, snap group photos, and answer fun trivia questions for an active and unique teambuilding experience.
