At Steamboat, we believe in creating unforgettable family experiences on the slopes, and what better way to do that than by offering our young adventurers the chance to ski or ride for free? With our special offer, children 12 years old and under can hit the slopes alongside a paying parent, grandparent, or legal guardian. Whether your little one is a seasoned snow sports enthusiast or just starting, this program is designed to ignite their passion for skiing or snowboarding while creating lasting memories for the outdoors.
How Does it Work?
Kids Ski Free
Kids Ski Free and Grandkids Ski Free programs enable children 12 years of age and under to ski free for the same number of days as a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian when the parent, grandparent, or legal guardian purchases a 5-or-more day adult lift ticket. Thechild must be 12 years or younger to qualify, only one(1) adult purchase per one(1) child, and the lift ticket must be for the same number of days as the adult. If booking online in advance, the option to add a kids ski free lift ticket will be offered and displayed on your screen when the adult 5-or-more day lift ticket is added to your cart.
NOTE: Kids Ski Free must be purchased before the start of the winter season. Season Pass products (Ikon, Ikon Base or Steamboat only pass) do not qualify for the Kid's Ski Free program. Not valid for in-season purchases.

Details and Restrictions
- Kids Ski Free lift ticket must be purchased prior to the start of the winter season. Not valid in-season.
- Proof of age may be required for those buying lift tickets with age restrictions.
- For lift tickets, age category is determined by lift ticket start date.
- All prices, programs and dates subject to change. Some restrictions apply and all tickets are non-refundable.
- Carpet lifts are for the exclusive use of Steamboat's Snowsports School.
- Each qualifying purchase allows one free child per paid parent/grandparent/legal guardian.
- Senior rates do not apply for the Grandkids Ski Free program. Grandparents must purchase an adult lift ticket for eligibility.
