Alpine Slide
The Howler Alpine Slide provides the chance for the whole family to experience this exciting summer attraction. Enjoy scenic views as you ride a chairlift to the top of historic Howelsen Hill. Using a sled provided to you at the top of the lift, you are in control of your exhilarating ride as you wind down the track.
Ticket Information
Pick-up tickets on-site at the Alpine Slide yurt by the base of the chairlift at Howelsen Hill. Tickets are not date specific and can be used any day that the slide is open, weather permitting. Children shorter than *48” tall may ride in sled with paying adult. You will be prompted at check-out to add the child riding with Adult. Children under 2 years old may not ride the alpine slide. Bulk discounts apply on adult slide ride ticket purchases of 10 or greater, purchase at the alpine slide. Large groups please call ahead at 970.439.0863.
All participants must sign a liability release prior to picking up their tickets. The liability release can be signed online HERE.

Weather & Attire
Howelsen Hill recreation area, including the Alpine Slide and Scenic Chairlift Rides, may close due to rain, wind or lightning. If weather conditions force a closure, guests are welcome to join us on another day or at another time. If a weather closure prevents the guest(s) from riding during their stay, they will be refunded.
Attire: Dress in normal summer clothing according to the weather. Hats and ball caps can fly off and are not recommended for the Alpine Slide.
