Mad Adventures offers raft trips on the Colorado River or Clear Creek. The Colorado River Trip is family and group-friendly. This trip is perfect if you are wanting to experience whitewater rafting for the first time with your children or just want to see beautiful scenery from the river.
Clear Creek has family friendly sections and more adventurous sections. Per mile, Clear Creek has more rapids than most rivers you might raft. This creates very exciting trips, even on the family-friendly sections.

What is Provided and what to bring
Life jackets, helmets, paddles and shuttles to and from our river office are provided. Bring quick-drying clothes (t-shirt, shorts, bathing suit), sunscreen, sunglasses with strap, change of clothing, tennis shoes, water socks or river sandals, hat and cash for souvenirs and snacks.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: COLORADO RIVER TRIPS
From Steamboat Springs, take Highway 40 east to Kremmling. Look for the Mad Adventures office on the right at the far end of town, just before the Kremmling Airport. Approximate driving time is 1 hour 15 minutes.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: CLEAR CREEK TRIPS
From Steamboat Springs, travel US Hwy 40 east over Berthoud Pass. Hwy 40 ends at I-70. Take I-70 east toward Denver for 2 miles to Downieville/Dumont (Exit 234). As you exit at 234 turn left at the s top sign and travel under the highway. Turn right on Co Rd 308 and travel 0.7 miles. At the stop sign turn right onto Co Rd 312 and travel across the bridge over the highway. Turn right on Dumont Rd. Then make your first left up the driveway towards the brown building. Approximate drive time is 2 hours 15 minutes.
